Hannah Hartswick, MS, LPC, NCC (she/her)
Hannah opened Hartswick Counseling in October of 2022 after working as an outpatient therapist and clinical supervisor at another practice for seven years. Hartswick Counseling is committed to all clients receiving the most empathic and competent care possible.
After completing her undergraduate degree at Penn State University, Hannah obtained a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lock Haven University. She has over a decade of experience working with clients who struggle with various mental health concerns including anxiety, depression, OCD, and trauma. Hannah is trained in EMDR, Internal Family Systems, and other trauma informed therapies to assist in your healing. Hannah also has extensive experience in reunification counseling, relational conflict, and navigating recovery from unhealthy or abusive relationships.
Hannah utilizes strong rapport building, exploration of your goals, and understanding your personality to guide the treatment process and cater the therapeutic experience to your individual needs.
Kaitlynn Timko, MS, LPC, NCC (she/her)
Kate earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Lock Haven University in 2018 and graduated with her Master’s of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a concentration in Military/Veterans in 2021. During that time, she also completed certificates in Foundations of Trauma-Informed Care and Trauma-Informed Counseling.
Kate has been a practicing clinician for 4 years and greatly appreciates being a part of each client’s process. She has interests in self-care, mindfulness, self-compassion, positive psychology, and resilience. Kate believes in a person-centered and strengths-based approach, which means treating you as the expert in your own life and working to build your skills, confidence, and self-efficacy. Kate focuses on educating and empowering you to take a leading role in your process.
She has experience working with adolescents, college students, and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, change of life transitions/decisions, trauma, OCD, perfectionism, and grief and loss. Kate works to create a supportive, empathic environment and utilizes a gentle challenging approach while tailoring treatment to best meet each individual’s needs.
Brandon Kephart, MS, NCC (she/he/they)
Brandon is a graduate of Commonwealth University of Pennsylvania - Lock Haven and holds a Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Brandon is also a doctorate student at Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) studying Counselor Education and Supervision, and is in the process of obtaining their LPC.
Brandon has experience working with individuals, couples, and families who struggle with anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, grief and loss, adjustment challenges, co-parenting, and school concerns.
Brandon’s counseling approach is person-centered, meaning they walk alongside the client and target concerns that may arise throughout the treatment process. Brandon likes to utilize a mindful approach by focusing on the here and now. Brandon also uses cognitive-behavioral techniques (CBT) to address thinking patterns that may cause distress.
Finnegan Hartswick
Our resident therapist-in-training, Finnegan sometimes accompanies Hannah to the office. He is currently in the process of completing all training requirements to become a certified therapeutic support animal.
